"Souplesse is a French cycling term referring to a fluid and graceful pedaling style that appears effortless. It describes a rider's ability to move smoothly and adapt to the terrain and situation, creating a one-with-the-machine feel. The concept of souplesse also extends to other aspects of riding, such as cornering, handling, and even the bike's frame and components. It's about achieving a harmonious blend of rider and machine to maximize efficiency and performance. " - velominati.com
